Small Domestic Vessel Basic Safety
SDV-BS

This course explores the hazards of the marine industry and how to both be proactive and preventative through everyday maintenance and procedures. The student will learn how to handle the three marine emergency situations, including person over board, fire on deck and abandon ship. Practical component includes donning a life jack and an immersion suit.

Small Vessel Operator Proficiency
SVOP

$700 - 4 Days

Valid for operators of small commercial vessels under 5 gross tonnes, carrying less than 12 passengers this certificate is the “nuts and bolts” of the marine industry, including collision regulations, safe navigation, and best boating practices. Practical component includes basic chartwork and navigation safety

Restricted Operator Proficiency
ROC-M

$250 - 1/2 Day

This course teaches the participant the phonetic alphabet and marine emergency radio procedures including protocols for May Day, Securite, and Panne Panne. This is a very practical course with the students engaging in mock vhf radio communications.
